Post 4 : Time travel to the past or future
I really like this topic, especially one of the most well-known paradoxes that goes, if you travel back in time and prevent your grandfather from meeting your grandmother, then you would have never been born, which would eliminate the fact that you traveled back in time so this creates a contradiction. This raises questions about the possibilities and consistency of time travel.
Personally I would like to travel both to the past and the future. In the past there's the value of learning from it and using that knowledge to make better decisions in the present. By understanding how we got to where we are, we can take steps to create a better future. So, I would try to make positive changes in society with what I learned.
Speaking of the future, I would like to travel around 10 years into the future just to know what my life will be like, if I am already working, if I have a home or if I'm traveling. However, I clearly know that no matter what, I would not stay there, I want to live in the present. I see no use in trying to fix what has already happened or in worrying about stuff I can't control, but trying to be a better person today is always something we should try.
What an interesting point of view and the paradox is really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about this issue in such a complex way, but with your post you got me thinking.
ReplyDeleteYour post remember me "The Butterfly Effect". I think that we have to be careful with the past, but curious about the future.
